How can i convert a .wmv file to .mov to open in fcp?

fcp doesn't support .wmv files and i can't use trial versions of converting software because my files are too big. is there any free converting software that could help me out? i'm on a mac so .dmg obviously not .exe programs. Thanks so much if anyone can help
