Is my conviction of assault spent?

When i was 16 i got convicted of assault which i did when i was 15. I completed an intense referel order of 8 months which included a fine. However i heard that someone say it was not spent? Does my conviction come under the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974? Can anyone please tell me more inforation on it? Thanks !
