Sprained achilles help?

A couple months back, i sprained my achilles but i thought i sparined my ankles. I sprained it again like 2-3 times, and i just realized that it was an achilles sprain. When i walk i dont feel pain but if i jump off that foot or put a decent amuont of pressure on it hurts a litle. About how long should i rest it and how bad did i screw it up because i heard you have to rest it after the injury before further dmg but i didnt.
